Elizabeth Bozzelli was formally appointed County Administrator in 2018 and has been Clerk of the Board of Chosen Freeholders since 2012. As County Administrator, Ms. Bozzelli acts as the Chief Administrative Official for the Board of Chosen Freeholders. She administers the affairs of Cape May County and is responsible to the Board. Additionally, she is responsible for maintaining records of all official business conducted by the Board, including actions taking place during Freeholder Meetings, and is custodian of the County Seal. Bozzelli acts as liaison between the Freeholders and the public, attests the signature of the Director of the Board on all contracts, agreements, grants, bids, leases, deeds and other official documents. Ms. Bozzelli is responsible for the day to day operation of both the executive and legislative components of Cape May County Government.
Prior to her appointment Bozzelli was the Executive Director of the Cape May County Department of Aging and Disability Services where she was initially hired in 1981. She worked for Ide Insurance Agency in Stone Harbor where she was licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance, and for Upjohn Healthcare Services in Philadelphia as part of a community healthcare team. Additionally Bozzelli served as a Councilwoman in Stone Harbor.
Bozzelli received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Pennsylvania State University and her Master’s Degree in Gerontology from the University of Pennsylvania.
