May Court House – Mark your calendar for the 2019 Cape May County 4-H Fair. TheCape May County 4-H Foundation, Inc. announces that the fair will take place on
July 18, 19 and 20 at the 4-H Fairgrounds located at 355 Court House-SouthDennis Road in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. Admission is free!
4-H Foundation volunteers donate their experience,
energy and time to create the annual 4-H Fair. Board members have been meetingall spring to discuss changes and new events coming to the fair this July. 4-H
Fair attendees can look forward to exciting entertainment, a variety ofactivities for young and old alike, diverse food vendors, and educational and
fun exhibits.
Returningentertainment includes Cowboy Larry and Brave Beth complete with trick roping,
bullwhips, and trick shooting. Plus Cowboy Larry will stroll the fairgroundsentertaining and making young visitors deputy sheriffs. Jet Weston and the
Atomic Ranch Hands, authentic singing cowboys, will perform on the main stagewith a dynamic, costumed 7-piece band.
Events
include a pet show – open to all, livestock and horse shows, a market animalauction, bouncy houses, and a maker space that combines elements of innovation,
do-it-yourself skills, crafts and technology. Also, young fairgoers will enjoythe Life of the Farm children’s area full of fun sensory activities. Thanks to
the work of the Rutgers Master Gardeners, the Irma McVey Memorial Herb Gardenwill be open for touch, taste and smell tours and there will be a number of
“How To” Tent Talks taking place on Saturday of the fair.
