
The 4th Annual Cape May County 4-H Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch!

Cape May Court House – The public is invited to come to the 4th Annual Cape May County 4-H Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, hosted by the Cape May County Board of Agriculture and the 4-H Livestock Program! The 4-H Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch takes place on Saturdays and Sundays, October 6-7, and October 13-14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lehner’s Farm & Nursery, 175 Rt. 47 South (mile marker 9), Cape May Court House, New Jersey 08210.
The event is both family and wallet friendly. Activities include a 5-acre Scare-Free Maze, Hay Rides, Tiny Tykes Hay Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Decorating, a Petting Zoo, and Scarecrow Making. Also, volunteers will be staffing games and activities such as pumpkin bowling, ring toss and game tables for checkers and tic-tac-toe.
Linda Horner, 4-H Youth Development Coordinator said, “The first three years were a huge success and this year promises to be even better!”
New additions this year include Apple Picking, for a fee, across the way at Stiles Farm and Nursery. “Apple picking is a popular fall activity that combined with a visit to the Corn Maze will make for a fun adventure for the entire family,” added Horner.
Other new activities include new free games such as ladder ball and corn hole, and a corn maze scavenger hunt.
Admission to the Corn Maze remains the same low price of $5 each, a $20 family discount is being offered for parents and their immediate children. Children two years and under are free. There is an additional small fee for pumpkin painting and scarecrow making. A variety of seasonal foods and refreshments will be available for purchase.
The Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program will be holding two 4-H Open Houses at Lehner’s Farm on Saturday, October 6 and the 13 during the 4-H Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. The public is invited to come and learn more about the variety of 4-H Clubs in Cape May County available for children in kindergarten through one year out of high school.
