Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton announced that the Cape May County Veterans’ Bureau will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25th at 2 p.m. at the Cape May County Veterans’ Cemetery.

Speakers include Director Thornton, Captain Todd Prestidge, Commanding Officer, United States Coast Guard TRACEN Cape May. Additionally, United States Congressman Frank LoBiondo has been invited to speak at the ceremony.

The United States Coast Guard will provide the ceremonial detail and representatives from Cape May County Veterans’ organizations will be presenting wreaths during the ceremony with the assistance of the Cape May County Civil Air Patrol and the United States Coast Guard Enlisted Association. Volunteers from the Southern Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross will be serving refreshments and members of Cub Scout Troop #65, Cape May Court House, will be distributing programs.

The Cape May County Veterans’ Cemetery is located at 129 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off the Garden State Parkway).
