[ARCHIVED] Rutgers Junior Chefs Cooking Camp - Register Now

Cape May Court House, NJ- Family and Community Health Sciences Department of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County is pleased to present Junior Chefs I and II Summer Cooking Camps. Camp I will be held July 27 - July 31, 2015 from 10:00am to 12:30pm for children who are entering grades 6, 7, 8. The cost is $125. Camp II is for those students entering grades 7, 8, 9, who have completed the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Junior Chefs I Cooking Camp or have completed Family & Consumer Sciences course work at school with emphasis on food preparation. Camp II will be held August 4, 5, 6, 7, from 9:30am – 12:30pm. The cost is $110. Join us to learn new skills, be creative, taste test and have fun! In Camp I kids will prepare a variety of foods including snacks. Both programs incorporate nutrition education with hands-on food preparation lessons to encourage a lifetime of healthy eating habits.

The program will be taught by Marilou Rochford, Family and Community Health Sciences Educator for Rutgers Cooperative Extension. Camp classes will be held at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Building located at 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ. (Turn at the traffic light at Atlantic Cape Community College; RCE is the first building on the right.) The building is handicap accessible.
