Special thanks to Kindle Auto Plaza for providing our hole-in-one car for the 13th consecutive year, Avalon Golf Club and Avalon Links for going above and beyond. Also, thanks to the 2016 Platinum sponsors: The DiCrecchio Family and Trinity Code Inspectors, LLC; Gold Sponsors: Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association, Gentilini Family Motors and the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge 1896; and Silver Sponsors: 1st Bank of Sea Isle City, Air Tight Spray Foam Insulation, Dever Electric, Schafer Mechanical Services, and Seaview Equine Learning Facility. Additionally, the support of our 142 tournament players, hole sponsors and prize donors helped to make this year’s event a success.
The tournament is held the last Sunday of every April to raise funds to support 4-H youth scholarships and educational activities for Cape May County’s 4-H horse club members. Money raised from previous tournaments has enabled the Horse Council to donate $28,000 to the Cape May County 4-H Memorial Scholarship Fund. These funds have been used to give 31 college scholarships to Cape May County youth.
Save the date for next year’s tournament, April 30, 2017 and visit the Horse Council events at the Cape May County 4-H Fair and Chicken Bar-B-Que on July 21, 22 and 23.
