In celebration of Older Americans Month, the Cape May County Department of Aging & Disability Services will host the annual Senior Jamboree. The theme for the 2016 Jamboree is “The Fabulous 50’s.” The event will be held at the Avalon Community Center, 30th Street and the Beach, Avalon, NJ on May 12, 2016. The doors open promptly at 10:00 a.m. and close at 2:00 p.m. All residents of Cape May County 60 and over are welcome to attend.

“Senior of the Year” male and female, as well as “Organization of the Year” will be recognized and honored. There will be music, dancing, and a fabulous free lunch. Students from Wildwood Catholic High School will assist the staff with the serving of the lunch. They have also been known to dance with our seniors.

Feel free to dress up in your favorite poodle skirt or black leather jacket as we “Rock around the Clock.”

So grab your coolest cats and your most comfortable dancing shoes! A good time will be had by all.
