Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) celebrated the fifth annual Food Day with great success on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the RCE grounds in Cape May Court House. Food Day is celebrated nationally to inspire Americans to become more educated about the food industry, what they are eating, and where it is coming from. It is also a day of awareness about those who are hungry across the country and in our local communities. Beginning at the October Food Day event, under the initiative of Rutgers Against Hunger (RAH!), Rutgers Cooperative Extension asked for canned food donations for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey for distribution to Cape May County residents. We are continuing the RAH food drive through November. Please be generous. Canned and packaged food can be dropped off at the RCE location between the hours of 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday, 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
