County Emergency Preparedness Conference Focused on Lessons Learned from the Past. The Cape May County’s Annual Emergency Preparedness Conference on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the Wildwoods Convention Center. This year the free conference was held to coincide with the start of hurricane season which began on June 1st and runs through November 30th.

Participants at this year’s conference included Major Patrick Callahan, Commanding Officer, NJ Office of Emergency Management, Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton, Martin L. Pagliughi, Cape May County Coordinator of the Office of Emergency Management, Jim Eberwine, Retired NOAA Hurricane & Marine Program Manager, Tom Lamaine, Meteorologist, Retired CBS 3 in 2009 and Dan Skeldon, Meteorologist, WMGM TV 40.
