2014 Cape May County Veterans' Day Ceremony

The 2014 Cape May County Veterans’ Day Ceremony took place at the County Veterans’ Cemetery on November 11th. The ceremony honoring Cape May County Veterans was led by Brigadier General Jeffrey Pierson and the US Coast Guard Training Center provided the Color Guard.

The invocation was given by Rev. Gretchen D. Zimmerman of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Ocean City, NJ. Guest speakers included Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton and US Coast Guard Commander Todd Prestidge, Congressman Frank LoBiondo, Freeholder Vice-Director Leonard C. Desiderio and NJ Assemblyman Samuel Fiocchi.

Following the ceremony, a new Prayer Garden in the cemetery, the Eagle Scout project of Lower Township scout Zach Lambert, was dedicated and blessed by Rev. Gretchen D. Zimmerman.
