Cape May County's COVID-19 Mobile Vaccine Clinic

Cape May County Department of Health will be offering COVID-19 vaccine in a town by you. Mobile vaccine will be offered several days a week. Please look below at the current scheduled dates, times and locations. No appointment is needed. For additional information call (609) 465-1187.

Types of Vaccine Offered:

Cape May County Department of Health will be offering Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, which are approved for ages 18 years older.

Third Dose:

CDC recommends that people who are moderately to severely immunocompromised (have a weekend immune system) receive 3 doses of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer-bioNTech or Moderna) rather than the 2 doses recommended for other people. Cape May County Department of Health is offering a third dose those who qualify. Please talk to your health care provider about your medical condition, and if getting an additional dose is right for you. We ask that you bring your vaccine card and ID. Please note the third dose is separate from the booster that has not yet been released for the general population.

COVID-19 Booster

The CDC recommends individuals who received both of their Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19  vaccines wait at least 6 months before booster. For those who received J&J single dose wait at least 2 months before booster. Recommendations also allow individuals to mix and match dosing for booster shots.

The following individuals are eligible for a booster:

  • people 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot;
  • people age 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot;
  • people age 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot, based on their individual benefits and risks, and
  • people aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional settings, including healthcare workers, may receive a booster shot, based on their individual benefits and risks.

Cape May County Department of Health will be administering Moderna and J&J boosters every Wednesday in November starting Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Avalon Community Hall, located at 3001 Avalon Ave, Avalon, NJ 08202.
