Online Inmate Remote Video Visitation

Securus Technologies provides the Inmate Online Video Visitation.  Securus Technologies allows you to conduct Remote Web-based Video Visitation with your loved ones from the comfort of your own home. You can easily and conveniently schedule multiple daily visitations online through their web site. Simply sign into the system by creating an account and you can schedule a visit right away!

Using  Securus Technologies is very easy. All you need is a computer, high speed internet connection, microphone and speakers and a web cam. Just follow the steps below in order to begin video visiting with your loved one in minutes. Check on Securus Technologies FAQ's Page for the minimum system requirements before purchasing an online visit to make sure your computer and system is compatible.

All you need is a computer and Internet connection that meets our minimum system requirements and you can begin video visiting today. If you do not have a Web Cam then you will be able to see your loved one but they will not be able to see you.

If you are a returning visitor, then simply sign in to access your account, review your visitation history, and schedule new visits.

Online Visitation hours will be from 8:00 am to 9:00pm, 7 days a week. There will be no visits scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Each inmate in general population is allowed up to 3 visits per day.

The Cape May County Correctional Center may limit or cancel jail video visits at its discretion due to security reasons such as lock downs or during periods when visitations are suspended. Except for attorneys and other confidential visitors, all video visitations are subject to monitoring and recording. The Cape May County Correctional Center may terminate an inmate's privilege to have video visitation at its discretion and may also terminate an on-going video visitation at its discretion.

Confidential Visitation for Attorneys

If you are an attorney, you can use  Securus Technologies services for secure confidential online visitation meeting. Create an account on  Securus Technologies and then you must get approval as a Confidential Visitor at the Correctional Center, in person. Your visits will not be monitored or recorded. You must have photo I.D. and your State Bar Card. If you fail to obtain the status as a confidential visitor, all video visits will be recorded.

On-Site Visitation at the Correctional Center

Face to face visiting is no longer conducted at the Cape May County Correctional Center. Visitation is done by video terminals at the Correctional Center. Use of the video stations are by appointment only and subject to availability. Participation in the on site visitation program is based on availability directly influenced by the remote terminal activity for that day. There is no guarantee that on site visit will be given if space is limited. Be sure to read the Rules and Instructions below.

  • Appointments for on-site visits can be made by calling the Cape May County Correctional Center during the set times the day before the Inmate’s designated on-site visiting day.
  • Each caller can add up to 2 additional visitors as long as the caller and the additional visitors are on the inmates approved visiting list. You are required to list the names of everyone that will be visiting.
  • There will be no additional names added after the appointment is scheduled. Please DO NOT use the Securus link for scheduling an ONSITE visitation. Your visit will not be honored.
  • All visitors, including the caller, must be currently on the inmates visiting list at the Correctional Center.
  • We DO NOT ACCEPT third party reservations and the caller must attend the visit. Again, please DO NOT use the Securus link for scheduling an ONSITE visitation. Your visit will not be honored.
  • The taking of motion or still photography is strictly prohibited during a remote or on site visit.

Scheduling an appointment for inmate visitation

Once the visitor is registered, they can then call between 7:00 am and 10:00 am on the day before they intend to visit (On Friday, the times are 7:00 am to 12:00 noon). The person who is registered is the only person allowed to call and schedule a visiting appointment.  During the reservation process, the registered person may include two (2) other individuals to accompany them during the visit. These individuals do not have to be registered with the  Securus Technologies system, but they do have to be on the inmates visiting list. All visitors must be maintained on the inmates visiting list to visit.

Visitation is Scheduled according to Inmates last name

The on site visitation program is subject to availability. Participation in the on site visitation program is based on availability directly influenced by the remote terminal activity for that day. There is no guarantee that an on site visit will be given if space is limited.

Inmates whose last name begins with the letters "A" through "I" can be visited on Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 11:00am.

Inmates whose last name begins with the letters "J" through "Z" can be visited on Thursdays, 4:00pm to 5:30pm and Saturdays, 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

  • Each visitor is allowed only one on site (1) visit per day
  • Your name must be on the inmates visiting list in order for you to visit an inmate.
  • Juveniles (17 and under) are now required to be listed on the inmates visiting list. Juveniles must be accompanied by the adult parent or legal guardian who is now required to sign the juvenile's name into the visiting log book. All juveniles must be a blood relative of the inmate or otherwise legally related to the inmate (i.e. stepchild, adopted child). Only three (3) juveniles can be listed on the inmates visiting list.
  • Each booth is allowed a maximum of three (3) persons per scheduled visit. This includes any juveniles.
  • Visits are limited to 20 minutes only.

Calling the Correctional Center

  • You must call 609-463-4344 (follow the prompts) the day before you intend to visit between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00am on Tuesday through Thursday and Fridays 7:00am to 12:00pm (due to the increased demand of Saturday visitation), in order to reserve a visiting time. (i.e. If you want to schedule a visit on Wednesday, You must call on Tuesday morning to make the appointment.) No reservations will be taken after 10:00am (except Friday)
  • If you get a busy signal, stay on the line. All calls are answered in the order they are received.
  • Due to a limited number of spaces for each 20 minute visiting period, the time you want may already be reserved. The officer will advise you what times are available.

Visiting requirements when you arrive for your appointment

  • Please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment. There is no need to arrive earlier.
  • All visitors are required to pass through a metal detector.
  • Please leave all metal objects in your car or the storage lockers provided in the visitor lobby.
  • You must have a government issued I.D. with a picture, date of birth and your current address. (i.e. Drivers License)
  • There is a Dress Code for visitors. It is as follows:

Female Visitors

  • Must wear a full shirt (No Tube tops, String halter tops, transparent shirts, tank tops, strapless shirts, no hooded shirts or low cut shirts.)
  • Must wear a full pant (Shorts are acceptable, however, they must extend to the mid to lower thigh. No short-shorts or self made cut off shorts are permitted.)
  • Must wear a covered shoe (No sandals, flip-flops, or any type of footwear that exposes the bottom or the toes of the foot.)
  • No coats, jackets or sweaters will be worn in the secured visiting area. Lockers are available in the Lobby to secure valuables.

Male Visitors

  • Must wear a full shirt (No tank tops, muscle shirts, transparent shirts, hooded shirts or any strap / string type shirts.)
  • Must wear a full pant (Shorts are acceptable, however, they must extend to the mid to lower thigh.)
  • Must wear a covered shoe (No sandals, flip-flops, or any type of footwear that exposes the bottom or the toes of the foot.)
  • No coats, jackets, sweaters or hats will be worn in the secured visiting area. Lockers are available in the Lobby to secure valuables.
  • The taking of motion or still photography is strictly prohibited during a remote or on site visit.
  • NO messages are given to inmates (written or verbal). Note: Inmates are allowed to receive letters only through regular US Postal Service.
  • The Visiting Control Officer has complete discretion to refuse or discontinue a visitation.
  • Rules of Conduct during visiting are posted in the waiting room.

Except for attorney and other confidential visitors, all video visitations are subject to monitoring and recording. The Cape May County Correctional Center may terminate an inmate's privilege to have video visitation at its discretion and may also terminate an on-going video visitation at its discretion.

The rules and regulations stated under the On site visitation are for the Cape May County Correctional Center only. Remote Online visitation from home is offered seven days per week, up to 3 visits per day and is governed by acceptance and compliance of the Terms of Use Policy on Securus Technologies

Policies concerning the Securus Technologies system and service are always evolving and changes affecting the implementation of the service may be modified as needed.

Contact Visits

Any immediate family member wishing to have a contact visit with an inmate incarcerated in the Cape May County Correction Center will have their incarcerated loved one complete the following.  Submission of Request in Writing - Any eligible inmate who is requesting a contact visit must submit a written request to the Inmate Affairs Officer. This request must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to the visit or it will not be considered. The following items are required on the contact visit request slip.

  • The names and addresses of the persons visiting the inmate.
  • Relationships of the visitors to the inmates.
  • The date and time that the visit is requested. Inmates are not to assume that a contact visit is approved, until written approval is received from the Inmate Affairs Officer. 
  • Correctional center staff will ensure that the visiting rules are posted in the visiting areas.
  • Inmates’ visits with family members will be conducted according to the general rules and regulations posted regarding visiting and the procedures of the Cape May County Correctional Center.
  • Visitors will be required to submit their date of birth, social security number and driver’s license number prior to the visit.
  • Additionally, all visitors will read a copy of the rules concerning contact visiting and will be required to submit to a computer check for criminal history and active warrants.

Visitor Categories

Visitors must fit into the following family categories:

  • Mother / Father
  • Husband / Wife
  • Children (must state age)
  • Grandparents

Privilege

Contact visiting is not a right, but a privilege and can be revoked for any infraction of the Correctional Center’s rules and regulations.

Only the following inmates are permitted contact visits and they must follow rules consistent with the security of the Cape May County Correctional Center and the safety of the visitors, the inmates and the Correctional Center’s personnel:    

Only inmates who do not have any disciplinary infractions for a period of 180 consecutive days are eligible for contact visits.

CONTACT VISITING RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  1. Inmates are permitted one (1) contact visit once every two months.
  2. No property will be accepted at the time of the visit.
  3. Visitors must be prompt. If the visitors are 15 or more minutes late, the visit will be canceled.
  4. If visitors fail to show up, the inmate may reapply for another contact visit after two months have elapsed.
  5. Inmates having two (2) or more children should note this on their request each time a visit with them is requested. A maximum of three (3) people are allowed per contact visit, including children.
  6. Regular visiting rules shall also apply.  No unruly or disruptive behavior by the inmate or visitors will be tolerated.
  7. If, for any reason, the Officer in Charge terminates your visit, future considerations may be denied.
  8. Officers conducting the visit will require the visitors to submit proof of their identities prior to the beginning of their visit.
  9. Visitors will arrive in the front parking lot (by the flagpole) and enter the institution through the lobby entrance. They will remain in the lobby until the beginning of their visit.
  10. Children of inmates, under the age of 18, are permitted only when accompanied by the parent or legal guardian.
  11. No visitor will be admitted into the contact visiting area with a handbag, purse, coat or any type of package. Lockers are available for visitor’s use.
  12. No visitor will be admitted if the officer feels that the visitor is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or is improperly dressed.
  13. All visitors entering the Cape May County Correctional Center are subject to search.  If the Officer in Charge suspects a visitor to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or the visitor refuses to be searched, the visit will be canceled immediately.
  14. It is strictly forbidden to pass anything to a visitor or to receive anything from your visitor. Any person caught passing any item of contraband will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and all further visits will be revoked.
  15. Inmates will be searched prior to and immediately after the contact visit.

Please help us to provide a safe atmosphere for all our visitors and adhere to the above requirements. Failure to abide to the rules and regulations may result in visitation refusal.
