SLEO CLASS I

The Special Officer Class I is certified by the New Jersey Police Training Commission.  This 80-hour course provides training in PR-24, handcuffing, defensive tactics, disorderly person's offences, first aid, use of force, various patrol concepts, and ethics.  Upon graduation, the student will be a PTC certified Class One Special Law Enforcement Officer.

SLEO CLASS II (SUMMER)

The Special Officer Class II consists of over 460 hours of training mandated by the Police Training Commission. This course covers similar material as the basic class.  The accelerated summer training begins in May and ends in June.  The course runs eleven weeks, Monday through Saturday from 6:30am to 5:30pm.  Upon graduation, students will be PTC certified as a Class Two Special Law Enforcement Officer.

SLEO CLASS II (WINTER)

The Special Officer Class II consists of training mandated by the New Jersey Police Training Commission.  This course covers similar material as the basic class.  The winter class begins in December and goes through April.  These classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 3:00pm to 10:00pm and all day Saturday.  Upon graduation, students will be PTC certified as a Class Two Special Law Enforcement Officer.
