BIKE PATHS
The Cape May County Park and Zoo is a favorite destination for locals and tourists by bicycle. Traveling to and from the Park is easy and enjoyable. Our bike paths connect into the Middle Township Bike Path, providing access to the Davies Sports Complex, 4-H Fairgrounds and Atlantic Cape Community College. The Middle Township Bike Path runs south from the Cape May County Park for 5 miles to Whitesboro, along the old railroad bed of the Cape May Seashore Line. Middle Township will extend the bike path into the Lower Township connector path, which runs south all of the way to the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal.
The Cape May County Park is currently working to expand the bike paths in the Park. In the next year, new interconnecting asphalt paths will be created within the Park. The new paths will connect many locations in the Park along with new direct routes to the Zoo.
FITNESS COURSE
Our Fitness Course is an outdoor twelve station fitness center similar to life stations you might see on hiking trails at various parks, however, at the Cape May County Park, all stations can be found at one central location. It is located conveniently in the center of our park, near the main playground next to the restrooms. Additionally, the equipment meets ADA requirements and is easily accessible. Also, there is signage on the course providing instruction on particular exercises for each apparatus.
